Verifiable fact The interview, with its limits
In a July 2024 interview with Nové Mesto, Forgáč defended the declaration against what he saw as misreadings while pointing to the Slovak bishops’ guidance that a blessing must not suggest confirmation of the union or a sacrament and must not be solemn (Nové Mesto). InfoVaticana reports those limits too, including his proposal to bless persons rather than the union.
