About The Patrick Coffin Show

The Patrick Coffin Show is an interview podcast hosted by Patrick Coffin, launched after he left Catholic Answers Live at the end of September 2016 (Catholic Stand; National Catholic Register). It is published through Coffin's website, Patrick Coffin Media, and on podcast platforms (Patrick Coffin Media; Libsyn).

Episodes have ranged from conversion stories, such as a Protestant YouTuber's reception into the Catholic Church (Catholic Stand), to an interview with Timothy Gordon about his 2020 dismissal from a Catholic school after criticising Black Lives Matter (Patrick Coffin Media).

Since 2023 Coffin has used his media platforms to argue that Pope Francis was an antipope and that Benedict XVI's resignation was invalid — a position Catholic Answers rebutted on its Focus podcast (Catholic Answers). After Fr. Robert Spitzer learned of that position in May 2023 he publicly distanced himself from Coffin, and OSV News reported that Spitzer, Jeff Cavins and Jennifer Roback Morse, along with 17 other speakers, had cancelled their appearances at Coffin's Hope Is Fuel online conference, which also featured E. Michael Jones (UCA News/OSV News; Catholic Review). See Benevacantism and papal-critique and resistance media.
