About Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God
Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, born Rosalind Moss, is an American Catholic religious foundress and broadcaster. The National Catholic Register has profiled her conversion, describing her journey "from Jewish agnostic to foundress of an order of nuns" (National Catholic Register; National Catholic Register). She is foundress and prioress of the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope, and hosts the weekday call-in programme Mother Miriam Live (The Station of the Cross).
According to the community's own account, it took root in St. Louis in 2008 at the invitation of then-Archbishop (later Cardinal) Raymond Burke, and in 2011 Bishop Edward Slattery of Tulsa approved her religious name and decreed the community a public association of the faithful (Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope). The community later left the Diocese of Tulsa; in December 2016 a Catholic blog published what it presented as a diocesan memo stating that the diocese, under Bishop David Konderla, had ended its affiliation with the community and would allow it to continue in another diocese (A Catholic Life). No reputable news report of the memo was found for this profile. At the invitation of Bishop Joseph Strickland, who publicly welcomed it as a public association of the faithful, the community moved to the Diocese of Tyler, Texas, where it was based by July 2022 (Diocese of Tyler; Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope); Mother Miriam professed final vows as prioress there with Strickland present (LifeSiteNews). The diocese's consecrated-life page continues to list the community (Diocese of Tyler). Strickland was removed from the governance of Tyler in November 2023 (Vatican News); see Bishop Strickland's removal.
Her programme is carried by The Station of the Cross Catholic Media Network with live video streaming in partnership with LifeSiteNews (The Station of the Cross). She has also appeared on John-Henry Westen's show, including an episode presented as critical of Pope Leo XIV (Acast); see papal-critique and resistance media.
