About Sensus Fidelium
Sensus Fidelium is a Catholic YouTube channel and podcast run by Steve Cunningham. It publishes videos and podcasts of sermons, talks on the historical teachings of the Church and stories of the saints (The Catholic Miscellany; MRC Free Speech America). The Catholic Miscellany, newspaper of the Diocese of Charleston, profiled it as a South Carolina–based YouTube success (The Catholic Miscellany), and an earlier Church Militant profile reported that it had posted some 2,700 homilies since 2012 (Church Militant). A September 2024 podcast episode in which Cunningham explained why he started the channel stated that it had more than 318,000 subscribers (Apple Podcasts).
On 18 October 2021 YouTube removed the channel, citing "severe or repeated violations of our Community Guidelines"; after Cunningham appealed, the account was restored and YouTube said it had been removed erroneously, according to MRC Free Speech America, a project of the conservative Media Research Center that tracks platform moderation (MRC Free Speech America).
Its podcast feed also carries question-and-answer sessions on spiritual warfare, exorcism, cursed objects and generational curses (Castfox). See Traditionalist Catholic online culture and Latin Mass movement.
