Pillars of Faith is the online apostolate of Joseph Strickland, the former bishop of Tyler, Texas, whom Pope Francis removed from office in November 2023 (see Bishop Strickland's removal). Its website describes it as devoted to proclaiming Catholic truth, honouring the Eucharist and Mary, and guiding souls to Christ, and lists Strickland as its founder and chairman (Pillars of Faith). Strickland announced the apostolate on 15 August 2025, the feast of the Assumption (Catholics for Catholics); his earlier personal website now directs readers to the new address (bishopstrickland.com).
The site publishes Strickland's writings and pastoral letters and his audio programmes, including the podcast A Shepherd's Voice (Apple Podcasts). Strickland also posts on X under the display name "Bishop Joseph Strickland @ Pillars of Faith".
Statements issued through the apostolate regularly reach a wider audience through republication. In an October 2025 message, Strickland objected to Pope Leo XIV's appointment of Cardinal Blase Cupich to a Vatican City governing body, while stating that he was not speaking in rebellion and remained loyal to the papal office (Pillars of Faith). In February 2026 his comments on the Society of St. Pius X's announced consecrations were framed by the SSPX's news service as a plea for apostolic continuity; Strickland later wrote that some had misrepresented his thoughts (FSSPX.News; X).
